VERY Diff'rent Strokes.

Same title sequence, different music.

This isn’t even that much of a stretch, since Diff’rent Strokes did regularly go to some very dark places.

  • Wow–how disturbing and sinister. An old, single White man going to the ghetto to pick up two small Black boys and take him home to his penthouse… Never thought of it in those terms, but the music sure does put that spin on it.

Thanks for this post. I’ll never look at Conrad Bain the same way again.

  • That was scary. I can’t believe I liked that show now. LOL!

  • Am I wrong for laughing the entire time? lol

It’s like a freaky after school special “Mr. Richman comes to Harlem”.

Don’t get in the car, don’t shake his hand and whatever you do just say no when he offers you a Blow Pop.

  • That show was creepy even at the time.
